Your business can post on social media all day every day, but if nobody connects with your content, what’s the point?
You need to tell your story, and it needs to have a pulse.
Donald Miller, author of Building a StoryBrand says, “In every line of copy we write, we’re either serving the customer’s story or descending into confusion. We’re either making music or noise. Nobody remembers a company that makes noise.”
Yes, you need to keep feeding the almighty algorithms, but don’t just feed it noise.
To really stand out, your brand needs to deeply connect with your audience.
Ask yourself these questions before you post:
- Does this content serve the customer first and the company second?
- Does this content evoke emotion for the customer?
- Is this content something my ideal customer would share with family, friends, or colleagues?
- Does the story have a pulse?
Think of your content like a character in a film.
Its main goal is to deliver your marketing message, but it can’t do that if it’s boring as hell.
If you need help crafting your brand story, let’s connect.
